THE MALL AT PARTRIDGE CREEK HOSTS JOB FAIR TO FILL POSITIONS AT NEW SHOPPING CENTER
Released: 08/29/07
CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich., August 13, 2007 - The Mall at Partridge Creek, a 640,000-square-foot, open-air regional shopping center opening Oct. 18, 2007 in Clinton Township, will host a job fair from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 28, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 29.
Applicants can apply for about 1,000 full-time and part-time shopping center jobs during the job fair, which will take place at the Macomb Cultural Center, 44575 Garfield Rd. just south of Hall Rd. in Clinton Township. One thousand more jobs will become available by the time all tenants complete their hiring and Nordstrom debuts in April 2008.
Retailers and restaurants at the job fair will be recruiting for every imaginable retail-related position, from entry-level through management, according to Seok Chung, marketing & sponsorship director for The Mall at Partridge Creek. That includes sales, security, stock, store set-up, maintenance, restaurant jobs — from hosts to dishwashers — and much more at both specialty and anchor stores.
Applicants should bring pens for filling out applications and enough resumes to leave one with each prospective employer.
Job-seekers should be also prepared to provide information about previous employment and dress for possible interviews because, in many cases, they may be able to complete interviews and be hired on the spot.
“With so many stores and restaurants new to Macomb County — and many of them also new to Michigan, The Mall at Partridge Creek is going to be a major conversation piece,” observes Chung. “The job fair provides a way to jump right in at the beginning, participate in the Oct. 18 Grand Opening and become involved in what we see as an exciting new retail environment.”
People seeking employment at The Mall at Partridge Creek but who are unable to attend the job fair should contact retailers directly. Once the shopping center opens, job-seekers will find continually updated employment opportunities on the mall’s Web site, www.shoppartridgecreek.com.
Developed by Taubman Centers Inc. (NYSE:TCO) of Bloomfield Hills, The Mall at Partridge Creek sits on the south side of M-59 between Garfield and Romeo Plank roads. It will feature Macomb County’s first Nordstrom (opening April 2008) and Parisian stores; a 14-screen MJR Cinema complex; and up to 90 stores and restaurants, many of them new to Macomb County.
Daily shopping hours will be 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Restaurant and department store hours may vary.
The Mall at Partridge Creek’s Web site, www.shoppartridgecreek.com, also features architectural renderings, maps, updated announcements and construction photos.
