PUBLIC GETS SECOND CHANCE TO ATTEND “SNEAK PEEK” CHARITY BENEFIT AT THE MALL AT PARTRIDGE CREEK

Released: 09/20/07

Live entertainment, food, cocktails, store and restaurant previews, fashion shows await guests at October 17 pre-opening party

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich., September 20, 2007 The Mall at Partridge Creek will give the public a second chance to participate in its “sneak peek” preview party Oct. 17.

The charity benefit is being held the night before the 640,000-square-foot, open-air shopping center opens to the public on Oct. 18.

“The demand for tickets to this once-in-a-lifetime event was so tremendous, we sold out almost before we announced it,” explains Seok Chung, marketing & sponsorship director for The Mall at Partridge Creek. “We’ve decided to take advantage of the opportunity to help our deserving partner charities even more by accepting additional reservations to accommodate more attendees at this wonderful event.”

Sneak Peek at The Mall at Partridge Creek will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. throughout the entire shopping center, located on the south side of M-59 between Garfield and Romeo Plank roads in Clinton Township, Mich.

The $50 admission ticket entitles guests to free valet parking, complimentary food and cocktails, two fashion shows, and continuous live entertainment — from dueling pianos and bocce demonstrations to Cirikli Stilt Birds and a “living vine” that astounds the eye as it moves and morphs. A strolling photographer will take pictures of guests, who can retrieve them on the mall’s Web site (www.shoppartridgecreek.com). The 2,000 guests also can shop and preview some of the stores, which will open early for the event.

The evening will benefit five charities: Macomb Literacy Partners Turning Point, Macomb Center for the Performing Arts, Junior League of Detroit, Michigan and The Michigan Humane Society. The Mall at Partridge Creek is underwriting all food, entertainment and valet parking, allowing the charities to keep 100 percent of the money from the tickets they sell, according to Chung.

“This will truly be a unique event,” he observes. “Guests will have the rare opportunity to experience The Mall at Partridge Creek and all the excitement we’ve planned before the general public. And, better yet, five terrific charities will earn much-needed money for their causes.”

Tickets will be available through the following individual charities while supplies last:

■ Michigan Humane Society: Tricia Brosnahan, (248) 799-7400
■ Macomb Center for the Performing Arts: Kathleen Wentzel, (586) 445-7302
■ Macomb Literacy Partners: Jessica Cheshire, (586) 286-2750
■ Junior League of Detroit: Lisa Fildes, (313) 881-0040
■ Turning Point: Michelle Hay, (586) 463-4430

Bloomfield Hills, Mich.-based Taubman Centers, Inc. (NYSE:TCO) has developed and will manage The Mall at Partridge Creek, the first shopping center built in Macomb County in more than 30 years. Robert S. Taubman, Taubman chairman, president and CEO, will welcome guests and kick off the evening’s first fashion show.

The Mall at Partridge Creek features approximately 90 stores and restaurants amidst lushly landscaped grounds with fountains, a children’s play area and bocce courts. Nearly two-thirds of the already announced retailers and restaurants will be one-of-a-kinds for Macomb County.

The new shopping center showcases Macomb County’s first Nordstrom and Parisian stores, plus a 58,291 square-foot MJR Theatres complex with 14 screens, 2,500 stadium-style seats, digital sound in all auditoriums and digital projection systems on at least four screens. The two-level, 122,000-square-foot Nordstrom will open April 18, 2008. The two-level, 120,000-square-foot Parisian and the theater complex will debut with the mall this fall. The Mall at Partridge Creek will be only the third full-line Michigan locations for both Nordstrom and Parisian.
